FatBoy Ice cream

Last March, when winter was still going strong  in Logan, UT, I found myself in a rather delightful situation. Hired by Casper’s Ice Cream, I was tasked to create photographs for their new packaging. As many of these images were initially set against a plain white backdrop, for my own uses, I decided to infuse them with my own vibrant, playful style by placing these delicious treats in colorful settings.

Casper’s Ice Cream recently underwent a change in ownership and needed a fresh look for their product packaging. This was a fantastic opportunity to transform their frozen treats into vibrant works of art, visually appealing and ready to make a bold statement.

The challenge at hand was to emphasize the textures and visual allure of Casper’s ice cream products. Hard lighting was the key, and I worked closely with my talented food stylists, Karen Evans and Stephanie Donovan, who painstakingly crafted the textures. It was essential to showcase these in the best possible way. To achieve this, we used bare bulb strobes to create strong shadows and bring out the textures, while I focused on centered compositions for most of the images.

In this project, the star of the show is undoubtedly the ice cream sandwiches, ice cream bars, and ice cream cones. The focus was solely on the product itself, with the intention of making them irresistible to consumers. The vibrant backgrounds serve as the perfect stage for these frozen delights to shine. This project was truly a treat to create.

Stay tuned for more visual treats, as the adventure continues with new projects on the horizon.

Poppi Prebiotic Soda

When I saw Poppi Prebiotic Soda I knew I had to photograph it. I don’t think I could have dreamed up a brand that aligned more with my style. These were so fun to create.

If you have un upcoming project for which I’d be a good fit, give me a call. I’d love to speak with you more.

Ono’s donuts

Nothing beats a hot donut and these donut disappoint. Oh man! That was cheesy…well they’re not cheesy, except for the savory donuts. Yes, Ono’s has donut sandwiches, which are amazing!

I had the privilege of creating menu photos for Ono’s donuts. It was a treat! Take a look and then head over to taste the real thing.

More work for Nature Nates

I work remotely for Nature Nates Honey co each month. I absolutely love this relationship; not only are they fantastic people who are a breeze to work with, but they allow a lot of creative freedom, enabling me to flex some creative muscle. Here are some of my faves from the last six months.
